Ready for Another Security Experience

I've pulled down the suitcase, checked for my comfortable shoes and I'm almost ready for the annual trek to Las Vegas. It is time for ISC West.

From what I am seeing, there are going to be plenty of new solutions available for attendees to handle, touch and learn about. There is one thing leading up to the show that I truly appreciate.

A note came from Reed Expo; an exhibitor alert that shared an important action item.

ISC West Attire Policy
ISC West would like to remind exhibitors of the staff attire policy, which is published as part of the display regulations in the exhibitor manual. First of all, I didn't know there was an exhibitor manual, but thankfully, it's right there in black and white.

"All Expo staff whether it be exhibitors' direct employees or hired contractors, are expected to dress in an appropriate manner conducive to conducting business. Attire of an overly revealing, suggestive nature of expletive nature is not permitted."

Man, I thought those days were long behind us, and we didn't need to be reminded that we're attending this tradeshow to conduct (professional) business. Thank you ISC West for the reminder that overly suggestive and revealing dress is not needed, nor is it wanted.

"Examples of such inappropriate attire may include but are not limited to: Tops displaying excessive cleavage; tank tops, halter tops, camisole tops or tube tops; miniskirts or mini-dresses; Lycra (or other second-skin) bodysuits; and objectionable or offensive costumes."

Now that we've gotten that out of the way, let's all get down to business for another excellent ISC West.

Thanks once again to Reed Exhibitions for reminding everyone that this is a time to enjoy a professional atmosphere, while at work.
